这个网站的产生来源于我的一个灵感。那是一个凉爽的夏日午后，我在长椅上为一个困扰了我半年多的老问题发愁。我无比渴望的想送一件世界上最珍贵最特别的礼物给我认识了5年的女友，告诉她我会永远照顾她，让她永远快乐，并且希望我们的爱情能够天长地久。
我在网上不停的搜索，想找到一个有意思的东西，或者能够给我一点启发。但是我寻觅了很久也没有找到符合我要求的礼物。我的要求很简单，但是或许太苛刻。
首先，我希望我送的礼物是世界上独一无二的，世界上将再没有第二个人能够以任何价格在任何地方买到，哪怕想买的这个是阿拉伯的王子，这样才显得它的珍贵。
其次，我希望它能长久存在！甚至永远，因为我记得有人说过一句有意境的话。“世界都会沧海桑田，爱情又怎会一成不变，但是我始终相信，不朽的终将成为宝贝。”
没错，我想送的东西看来不可能从商店里买到了。因为我想送的不是别的，而是“永恒”。那是一个具有决定性的时刻，“时间！！！”等等，我的脑海里一道巨大 的亮光闪过，没错！！就是时间，永远的日子！！让她永远记住的日子-----永久的纪念日。这是thedayforever诞生的时刻，在这一刻它活了。 我开始象中了魔法一样开始着手亲手制造这个魔物，整整两个星期，我每天只睡5个小时，它终于活生生的出现在我的面前。
这样，我就可以将9999-9-9这个日期送给我的女友，代表天长地久。我希望为跟我一样的人们提供这样的东西，获得一个永久的日期的所有权(获得所有权 证书)并能够支配它用来做点有意义的事情。一旦获得对该日期访问权的支配，您可以将该日期映射到唯一的URL, 或者设置URL-key来做到小范围的加密访问，这样世界上所有访问该日期的人都将会被带到您指定的URL。
